Cartridge pressure  is effected by many factors; including the components used (batch, shot weight, shot size, shot type), component assembly (density of loading - compression of the powder), reloading techniques (crimp pressure and depth), 
type of firearm used, etc.

The three cases shown on the left of each picture are normal crimp the three on the right resulted in excess pressure due 
to very deep crimp, otherwise the loads were identical.

It is always wise to work any load up to the published data i.e. starting a little below the recommended load. 

Never substitute the type of powder or mix any two powders regardless of type, brand, or source.
Never substitute steel shot for lead shot.

Note all cases are PT (Parallel Tube) EU type cases, star crimp = 6 point.

Suggested loads work with most cases but each of the case manufactures have a slightly different case volume, we find Cheddite have the smallest volume, the best reload is one that the level of shot sits at the same height the original cartridge shot was at, normally about the ridge around the opened case mouth where the "petals" start. 
Plastic wads have a degree of self-adjusting on closing to allow for a little adjustment on shot height when closing the case but if the shot column is too low the petals will fall into the case or a center "hole" will be present, to high a shot column will result in the case collapsing normally where the plastic tube meets the metal case head.
Fibre wads can be easy cut in length if necessary to arrive at the correct shot column height for that perfect crimp.

Warning: PSB+2SP is not the same as PSB+2 (sold by some suppliers) PSB+2 requires different load data and is faster burning than PSB+2SP.
